ABOUT US
Based in Islandmagee, Co Antrim, the company was established in late 2008. Our team has a combined experience of almost 100 years, but we are always learning!
Islandmagee Painting & Decorating is run by Ken Sives, who has a qualification in Decorative Finishing & Industrial Painting Occupations (Construction) from the CITB and holds a current Construction Skills Registration. He has many years experience in the industry, working across both Scotland and Northern Ireland, and has also has completed courses in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and in the prevention of Covid 19 (Coronavirus).
Ken was also nominated as a Finalist in the 2021 Larne Business Excellence Awards.
Jayne Sives is the Financial and Administration Director, being responsible for all preparation of estimates and invoices, advertising, online marketing and accounts. As if that wasn't enough, she also manages the the daily running of the office and order of supplies/materials.
Caolán joined us in August 2018 and is a great asset to our team. He has a great eye for colours, and ideas of what a room will look like if we apply certain colours in specific area, which is very useful to customers who are undecided on their choices!
He is involved with the pricing/estimating on new work, and whilst on site, he is often found clambering on roofs or painting chimneys for us (because he says we're too old!)......
